David Bogle is one of the navigators from Team Vignette. In case you are not familiar with Team Vignette, they are one of fastest adventure racing teams in Texas. David started racing with Vignette in 2005, after being a strong member of Team Backpacker from Louisiana. After Hurricane Katrina, David relocated his family from New Orleans to Round Rock, Texas.
David has a string of first place finishes in Adventure racing and has successfully used his talents for "problem solving" and navigation in Urban Races with Vignette teammate, Kip Fiebig. In 2006, David also raced in the Primal Quest Expedition Race in Moab, Utah.
During our Adventure Training weekend, David will share introductory information about maps, compasses and how to plot "points" on your map. If you ask nicely, he may even share a few tricks! After the clinic, you can feel free to use some of your new knowledge to find Control Markers in the Park. Maps will be provided.
David has a great, supportive family and we love seeing them at races all over the area. We are thankful he has decided to share some of his knowledge with our beginner racers on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Tyler State Park!
